Pubs & Restaurants in The Cotswolds

Eating Out

Good food is a big part of the holiday experience, whether it's in a sophisticated restaurant, or in a simple pub. Either way, you're never far from good food and drink in the Cotswolds - and not just in hotels and restaurants.

The Cotswolds is an agricultural area and its food producers have wonderfully tasty cheeses, wines, fruits, vegetables, juices, biscuits, beers, meat and fish. You should be able to buy these from local shops in towns and villages in the Cotswolds. Farmers' markets are also held regularly in many of the market towns in the area.

The Cotswolds is known for historic hotels and a great tip is to visit these for afternoon tea, where you can enjoy traditional scones, sandwiches and cakes. There are also some excellent tea rooms in the Cotswolds and nothing beats afternoon tea in a busy market square.

If you are going sight-seeing or walking don't forget to stop at the village shops to buy a few items from them - most stock local produce, know the area well and you will always be welcome.

The Lamb Inn

The Lamb is everyone's dream of what an ancient English Inn should be, but with modern comforts, excellent service and award winning food. The Lamb dates back to the 15th Century and to step inside is to step back in history with its flag stone floors, gleaming copper, brass and silver...

Fosse Farmhouse

Tea garden, restaurant, log fires and beautiful Georgian interiors. The perfect accommodation base for touring the Cotswolds and walking to Castle Combe - one of Englands prettiest villages.

Nightlife

Wherever you stay or live in the Cotswolds, you are never very far from a country show or fete, music festival or concert, antiques fair or street market & many of the attractions have different things happening throughout the season. All year round the Cotswolds hosts a wide variety of events.
